Miss Schwierking’s Alternative Kindergarten Class
Snacks
Dear Families,
Due to various food allergies that many of the children may possibly have I am asking you to have your child
bring their own snacks with them daily. My only request on what you bring is that is should be healthy. Please,
no cookies, chips, candy, fruit roll ups, brownies, or anything that is not good for them. Feel free to bring
fruit, crackers, applesauce, yogurt, pretzels, granola bars, vegetables, pudding, jell-o, and so on. I ask you
to use your best judgment. I do have a refrigerator in the room so if they want to bring in something that requires
staying cold they may do so.
I regret to say that if your child brings in an unhealthy snack I will have them take it back home without a
snack for that day. I know that may seem unfair, but if I allow them to eat it that day I know it will happen
again and that is unfair to the rest of the children in the class.
