Class-by-Class Overview

I hope all of you had a wonderful summer….
I am looking forward to have a great school year with all your children.As we start the year some of the areas
we will be focusing are:
Kindergarten/Alt. Kindergarten:
- We will be learning greetings through songs, reading a book; and doing a couple of handouts.
- We are going to learn the vowels (A, E, I, O, U) in Spanish.
- Do:A booklet focusing on the letter “A” and learning at the same time the color “AMARILLO” (yellow).
1st. Grade:
- We will learn greetings through a song and the students will do a mini-booklet.
2nd. Grade:
- We will review greetings and learn the numbers 1-20.
- Practice through a song, games, and handouts.
3rd-4th Grade:
- Review and learn other parts of the body.
- The students will practice a song, label the parts through a game, and do a “EspantaPajaro”
5th-6th Grade:
- The students will concentrate on remembering what they learned last year.
- They will review by playing concentration, battleship, and bingo games.
- Then they will focus on learning “Emociones” (emotions).
- They will create a collage by finding pictures through magazines and labeling different type of emotions.
- The students will also practice by making an emotion and the other will have to figure it out.
- They will also practice through games, handouts, and songs.
