Mr. Brown's Kindergarten Class
About Mr. Brown
Hello, my name is Aaron Brown and I am the new Kindergarten teacher here at Trinity. Let me tell you a little
about myself. I grew up here in Marysville with my parents, Rick who works at Honda and Karen who works at the
High School as a secretary. I also have an older brother who is married with a four month old, and they also
live in Marysville
I began my educational journey here at Trinity when I attended Pre-K, and now I have been called back to teach.
When I graduated from Marysville High School I attended Bowling Green State University where I received a degree
in Early Childhood Education in 2007. At Bowling Green I did my student teaching in the Springfield Local School
District in a third grade classroom. Throughout my high school and college years I stayed involved in the classroom
by volunteering and tutoring at Mill Valley Elementary here in Marysville. Volunteering at Mill Valley gave me
the opportunity to get in the classroom and have hands on experience with the career I chose. In 2006 I was honored
to be the recipient of the “Good Apple” Award given to a volunteer from each of the Marysville Schools for their
efforts.
After graduation I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher for Marysville schools where I subbed in every
grade from Kindergarten to high school in most of their schools. From April to June I was a long term sub at
Mill Valley in a classroom for students with Autism. I believe the multiple opportunities I was given has given
me the chance to adapt to different situations. During that same time I was fortunate enough to be able to be
hired as Trinity’s new Kindergarten teacher!
A couple of personal items: I enjoy spending time playing golf and basketball, spending time with my new nephew
Evan, reading, watching Michigan football (I know I’m asking for it), and talking about sports.
I feel blessed to be part of such a great family here at Trinity. Thank you for welcoming me in with open arms
and I can’t wait to get to know more of you as the year grows on! My door is always open! |
